NEW YORK (May 16, 2018) – The National Urban League celebrated its century-plus history today with the dedication of its new headquarters in Lower Manhattan, led by several past Presidents and the family of the organization’s second leader.
NEW YORK (May 17) -- National Urban League President Marc H. Morial today condemned the reported effort by Donald Trump’s then-campaign chief Steve Bannon to suppress African-American votes in the 2016 election.
“Any effort to steer eligible citizens from exercising their sacred right to vote is un-American,” Morial said. “Specifically to target voters of color, who have fought and bled and died in defense of that right, is morally reprehensible.”
