Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Wanda Jackson is Senior Vice President, Human Resources for the National Urban League. Ms. Jackson has overall responsibility for the Human Resources function in the League’s national office, and manages programs and activities in corporate diversity, employment, and leadership development. Wanda joined the League after a stint at A Better Chance, Inc. as the Director, Business and Professional Partnership Program. There, she worked with corporations placing academically talented minority students in full-time jobs and internships. Ms. Jackson has also worked in New York City government as a human resources manager and began her career in retailing, where she worked in human resources as well as in merchandising for Saks Fifth Avenue and Macy’s. She is a graduate of Boston University’s College of Communication and received a M.S. in Human Resources Management from the New School. Wanda is a member of the Diversity and Disparities Committee for the Eastern Region of the American Cancer Society, HR/NY’s Women’s Special Interest Group, and the Girls Scouts of Nassau County Nominating Committee.
