NEW YORK (September 25, 2015) -- National Urban League President Marc H. Morial today applauded the appointment of Dr. Ivory Toldson as Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
“Dr. Toldson is an undeniable leader in the community,” Morial said. “His appointment to represent HBCUs in The White House is one that we could not agree with more. HBCUs are pillars in the history of African Americans and education in America; they could not receive a stronger proponent not for their survival, but instead to see them thrive and succeed. We applaud President Obama for his decision to name Dr. Ivory A. Toldson as executive director of The White House Initiative on HBCUs.”
