NEW YORK (September 25, 2015) -- National Urban League President Marc H. Morial today applauded the appointment of  Dr. Ivory Toldson as Executive Director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
 

NEWARK, N.J. (September 22, 2015) -- The National Urban League marked the two-year anniversary of its landmark, $100 million private-public partnership, Jobs Rebuild America, with the announcement of a $2 million, multi-year expansion in Essex County, New Jersey.
                                                                                                

National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. Morial today released the following statement on the death of Julian Bond:

"The Urban League family deeply grieves the loss of Julian Bond, a true warrior for civil rights and social justice. He embodied integrity, passion and dignity, and was a role model for all Americans.

"He was a bridge between the civil rights pioneers of the 1960's and the dynamic young activists of today, employing both a deep sense of history and a keen instinct for action.

"Our prayers and heartfelt sympathy are with his family. "

NEW YORK (August 5, 2015) –  An intensely-watched forum at the 2015 National Urban League Conference, Save Our Cities: Education, Jobs & Justice in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, found Republican and Democratic Presidential candidates both defending their own records and challenging their potential opponents on racial justice issues.
