Grammy Nominee Raheem Devaughn, NBC Anchor Sheinelle Jones Take The Stage For Equal Opportunity Dinner

NEW YORK (November 13, 2015) -- New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo, along with longtime corporate partners State Farm and Toyota, are among the honorees for the National Urban League’s 59th annual Equal Opportunity Dinner (EOD), Thursday, Nov. 19, at the New York Marriott Marquis.

NEW YORK (November 10, 2015) — The Urban League Movement across the nation is grieving the loss of trailblazing civil rights attorney Jacqueline A. Berrien, National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. Morial said.

"Jackie embodied a passion for justice that will reverberate for generations," Morial said. "She devoted her entire career to fighting for equality and opportunity with rare fervor. Her loss is a devastating blow to the civil rights community"

NEW YORK (November 10, 2015) — National Urban League President and CEO and former New Orleans Mayor Marc H. Morial today called the passing of R&B legend Allen Toussaint “a tremendous loss” for both New Orleans and the nation.
 
"Allen Toussaint was a pioneer and a visionary," Morial said. "He was a musical ambassador, largely responsible for infusing pop music around the world with a particular New Orleans flair.
 

Suit Filed In Federal Court
 
NEW YORK (November 9, 2015) –
The National Urban League Affiliate Services Appeals Committee has affirmed the Board of Trustee’s July decision to disaffiliate the Urban League of Greater Dallas.
 
In an official opinion handed down last week, the Committee said the National Urban League had “ample reason” and “adequate grounds” to disaffiliate ULGD.
