Statement from Marc H. Morial, President & CEO of the National Urban League, on the Grand Jury’s Decision to Not Indict Officer Darren Wilson in the Killing of Unarmed Black Teenager, Michael Brown: 

"The killing of Michael Brown has forever left a void in the hearts and lives of his parents, family and friends, who lost a son and a loved one much too soon.  The killing of Michael Brown has also brought to light many of the unfortunate blemishes - criminal justice disparities, volatile police-community relations, unemployment and economic inequities - that tarnish our great nation and that prevent us from being the best of whom we can be.

November 13, 2014 (New York, NY) – At the National Urban League’s 58th Annual Equal Opportunity Dinner on November 12, 2014, in New York City, National Urban League President and CEO Marc H. Morial welcomed the new chairman of the National Urban League, Michael F. Neidorff. Neidorff currently serves as chairman, president and CEO of Centene Corporation.
